This is a common sight on the way to Badami from Hampi, field on either sides of the road is full of these beautiful flowers.

Very beautiful. I remembered the famous old movie " The sunflower" staring Sopia Loren. This is a summer landscape in Japan.

Farmers here are now planting sunflowers. Apparently, there is a huge market for the seeds and the rest is used in cattle feed.
