52 Varthur Lake
Varthur Lake is situated in the eastern periphery of Bangalore city and is a main source of water for irrigation in Varthur.
Lake streatches about 2 Km in width and is about 7 - 10 feet deep and is frequented by lot of migrating ducks. One can catch up a beautiful sunset here. Lakes ecosystem is under continuous degradation because of sewage and contaminated water from nearby industries.

Fabulous wide angle shot! Let's hope the lake doesn't continue to degrade. It would be a shame to lose such a great source of water and a lovely ecosystem.
